Electron Microscopy Sciences Davidson's (Hartmann's) Fixative, 1 L
This is rapid fixative. Results with good nuclear detail and minimal formalin pigment. Hatmann's (Davidson's) Fixative is useful for preparing tumors, bone marrow, gynecologic specimen, fatty breast, medical biopsies. Fixation of small specimen is rapid. Exposure to the fixative should be limited to 24 hours (tissue may then be transferred to neutral buffered formalin or 70% alcohol for storage). Based on the volume of 1125 ml solution, there is 2 part Formalin (35-39%), 3 part Ethanol, 1 part Glacial Acetic acid, and 3 part of tap water.

Paraformaldehyde fixatives are prepared fresh upon receipt of order to ensure maximum shelf life. In 0.1M Phosphate Buffer. Filled in 20 ml glass vials (10 ml/vial) allowing for fixation of your specimens without transfer.

Electron Microscopy Sciences Hollande's Fixative Bulk, Fill 4 LT
A modification of Bouin's solution. It is stable and will decalcify small bone specimens. Tissue that is fixed with Hollande's can be stained successfully with most stains, and the cupric acetate in the solution stabilizes red blood cell membranes and cosinophil and endocrine cell granules so that less lysis occurs than with Bouin's solution. Hollande's is widely used as a fixative for biopsy specimens of the gastrointestinal tract.
Thorough washing of the fixative prior to placing the specimen in a phosphate buffered formalin solution is necessary because the salts present in the solution will form an insoluble phosphate precipitate. Packaged in leak-proof histo-containers; prefilled ready-to-use.

Electron Microscopy Sciences EMS Hemo-De Xylene Substitute 5 GL
The xylene substitute is for use in histology and cytology. It is safer and a more preferable alternative to xylene and cuases minimal tissue shrinkage. It can be used as a solvent and clearing agent, as well as for dissolving paraffin waxes, glues and adhesives. Dries slowly with no residue. It can be used in all procedures that require xylene and is less toxic than xylene. Soluble with alcohol, paraffin embedding media, and mounting media. Biodegradable.

Premixed, prebuffered fixatives, are pH adjusted for immediate laboratory use. They are freshly prepared upon receipt of order to ensure maximum shelf life. The fixatives are filled in 20 ml glass vials (10 ml/vial). This allows for the immediate fixation of your specimens without costly and time consuming transfer associated with ampoule contained fixatives. In Sodium Cacodylate Buffer.

Electron Microscopy Sciences Hard Plus Resin 812 Kit
Hard-Plus Resin-812 is a newly formulated resin that enables the processing of specimens that have a tendency to wrinkle and be problematic. WPE numbers do not vary much from batch to batch, there is good stability under the electron beam, and it stains well with heavy metals. Viscosity is lower than original Epon-812, making infiltration of tissue more complete.
For processing and embedding, it can be used same way as Epon-812, but it is not necessary to use intermediate solvents and infiltration can immediately follow with absolute alcohol.
Polymerization normally at 60 degree C for 2448 hrs. Longer times or higher temps (+70 degree C) will give harder block. For larger samples (>1x1 mm3) use of intermediate solvent recommended. Supplied only as a premix kit. Each kit contains five separate mini-kits, making approximately 100g each.
